Monica Mu is a board-certified physician assistant who works with Dr. Ali and Dr. Lin at Align Spine Center. She assists with spine surgery, performs patient evaluations, and provides postoperative follow-up.
Before becoming a physician assistant, Monica spent 10 years as a speech-language pathologist caring for patients in acute hospital settings, including patients with swallowing difficulties after anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF). She gained experience through extended orthopedic surgery training that included orthopedic trauma and joint replacement surgery, fracture reduction, fracture management, and splinting.
Monica values clear communication and helps patients understand their treatment options and care.
